MS Awareness Night at the Texas Rangers: Dr. Bharathy Sundaram to Throw the First Pitch

MS Awareness Night at the Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers have gifted the National MS Society a special night to raise awareness for MS at an upcoming baseball game. MS Awareness Night will take place September 20th, 2022, at 7:05 pm at the Rangers stadium in Arlington, Texas, where the Rangers are scheduled to take on the LA Angels.

In recognition of being a healthcare hero within the MS community, Dr. Bharathy Sundaram will kick-start the game by throwing the first pitch. When she throws the pitch, she will also be joined by an individual living with multiple sclerosis. Raising awareness for MS is very important to Dr. B as she says, “Every MS patient inspires me with their strong will to fight the disease. My aspiration is to help to fight their disease and bring a cure!”

Dr. Bharathy Sundaram, or Dr. B as she is commonly called, joined Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders (TIND) in 1994. She has a special interest in Multiple Sclerosis and is the Director of the MS Clinic at TIND. In addition, she is also a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Dr. B. Sundaram has been instrumental in bringing advanced MS evaluation and treatments to the Texoma and North Texas area. She has been involved with the National MS Society and has tirelessly worked to improve access and care for these patients. She has led several research projects in Multiple Sclerosis and has had several published articles in MS.
