Headaches in Children

When children complain of headaches, it could be a sign of another issue, such as a cold or an infection. Less common are headaches caused by neurological infections, masses, or other structural abnormalities. However, if these are the causes of your child’s headaches, it’s important to consult with the doctor early to establish a diagnosis and get started with treatment.

Neurogenetic Disorders

Neurogenetic disorders are genetic disorders that impact how the brain functions and in some cases how the brain is formed. Neurogenetic disorders can lead to conditions such as epilepsy, developmental disorders, and abnormal movement disorders. These are typically noticed quite early in life. If you are noticing signs such as muscle weakness, intractable epilepsy, delayed development, or other related symptoms, contact a trusted neurologist specializing in pediatric neurology immediately so your child gets the treatment they need.
